Glad you dropped in! We hope our web site will give you a peek at what we're creating at Fairmead. Ten years ago, we dared to believe we could be managing a farm. With the addition of twenty-five acres of new fescue pasture and a barn, we hope we are capturing a culture we left behind with our grandparent's era.
Our next focus will be to further develop a small boarding facility. Now that we have facilities to support grazing animals, we hope to have a couple of tenants who share our vision. Hopefully, folks will find us who need the facilities we have created. Together, we'll make a great place even better.
We're nestled in the Foothills of the Southern Appalachians. Table Rock Mountain and Sassafras Mountain (elevation about 3,000 feet) are located just up the road. We believe we've got some of the prettiest country around. Our 110 acre property comprises gently rolling pastures bordered by moderate to steep sloped woodlands. The original homestead cabin still offers a comfortable shelter during inclimate weather.
We hope to have a very small number of tenants (their horses) on board with us to create a greate retreat for years to come. Won't you come see?
